Winter in Peniche rules!

The beaches around the two peninsulas of Peniche and Baleal, about 60 miles north of Lisbon, rate among the most consistent and best surfspots in Europe. In a radius of less than 15 miles you can find around 40 different “cranking” surfspots, including a suitable wave for every surfer’s level. With beaches facing north, south and west it's really „always offshore“. Since 2009, the RipCurl Pro – one of the top events on the World Qualifying Series – is held here every year. In Supertubos, the pros pull into one barrel after another, which is why this competition was denominated one of the best surf events ever.

If the swell is too big, you can always find a more protected spot with smaller and cleaner waves. And if the swell is too small, we will check out our secret spots.

With our new Surf Vans we can get to the right spot at the right time in no time! And our 15 years of experience and local knowledge make sure that we always are at the right spot at the right time!

Our camp is located at only 300 metres or a 3-minute walk from the most famous beaches.

Our comfortable apartments are fully equipped with bedrooms, living room (incl. TV/ DVD) kitchen and bathroom and our courtyard invites you to chill & grill. You can check the surf from our roof-terrace or simply enjoy the lovely sunset.

Our camp bar is open 7 days a week from early morning to late at night. It is the place to be before and after surf sessions when the spectacular experiences of the day are recounted. It offers everything a surfer’s heart desires – from a rich breakfast buffet to basic sandwiches to refined salads and, of course, cold beer.

Our Bling Bling surf lessons for beginners and advanced surfers

Our surf-lessons are designed to improve your personal level of surfing, whether you wish to take the first steps on a surfboard or have had prior contact with the “premium class of all board sports” – surfing!
During our 5-day courses, including a total of 25 hours of practical and theoretical lessons, we lead beginners from the basic whitewater take-off to a controlled take-off in green waves. Those of you that are more advanced will be working on basic manoeuvres and can try out different sizes of boards. Our practical lessons are complemented by theoretical units such as safety rules, wave formation, how to deal with currents or priority rules in the lineup. Moreover, you will receive an effective and professional video feedback twice a week.
Every day after the early morning surf check, our surf vans will take you directly to the best spots.

Our Bling Bling surf guiding/ advanced coaching

Bling Bling surf guiding is designed for advanced surfers that do not want to spend their holiday wasting precious time with tedious and fruitless surf checks, but wish to find and surf as many perfect waves as possible instead. Our 15 years of experience will get you directly and fuss-free to ‘the right spot at the right time’. Our local coaches know all the spots in the Peniche area and they know exactly when, how and where to be to score the best waves of the day ;)

Moreover, there is an official Fatum Surfboard test center at our camp.
For a whole day, you can try out a custom made board for free.
